Black Bean Arayes

Ingredients

  • 1 tin of cooked black beans
  • 1 large onion
  • 3 cloves of garlic
  • flat breads or tortillas
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1 teaspoon baharat
  • ½ teaspoon salt
Steps
  • Drain the tin of black beans.
  • Peel the garlic and onion.
  • Grind the black beans, garlic and onion using grinder size 2 or 3.
  • Mix the ground black beans, garlic and onion with the spices and refrigerate to allow the mixture to bind.
  • Fill the flatbreads or tortillas with the mixture and grill the arayes sandwich on a griddle or in a sandwich press until you can see the grill lines.
  • Serve hot.
